On June 3, 2020, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) released guidelines permitting clinics to open in-person clinics, gradually. No acupuncture or TCM clinics were permitted to open prior to the release of these guidelines.

Total Wellness has fully reviewed the guidelines with its practitioners and staff. We are now scheduling in-person acupuncture appointments.

We hope you and your family have been safe and healthy during the past three months of social isolation.

The provincial government has now lifted the restrictions on health clinics. After careful consideration and planning, Total Wellness Centre is thrilled to announce we are slowly reopening for in-person appointments. You may now schedule your in-person acupuncture appointment.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards. We have changed our onsite procedures based on the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncture of Ontario guidelines. This will help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  

We have also started new procedures for each patient to follow while on site.  You will see changes at your next appointment including:

  • All patients must answer mandatory provincial health questions up to four hours before each of their scheduled appointments;

  • All patients must confirm the answers to those health questions onsite, before entering the clinic. Patients should only enter the main waiting are when permitted by staff;

  • All patients must wear a face mask while attending the clinic; 

  • All patients must sanitize their hands upon arriving at the clinic, whether they wear gloves or not.

 
Please try to arrive a few minutes before your appointment. Appointments will be timed to allow for physical distancing between patients. We will take the necessary steps to reduce the number of patients in the reception area.
