Positions Available

Medical Doctor (with speciality/sub-speciality in the area of reproductive medicine) : Toronto Total Wellness Centre is seeking an open minded medical doctor specializing in infertility treatments to join our thriving fertility practice in central Toronto. We are currently offering alternative medical treatments, including acupuncture. However, we wish to add the services of a medical doctor. You must be eligible to practice in Ontario, and possess an FRCSC in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Registered TCM/Acupuncturist with at least 12 years of experience treating women and men with infertility. Must be fully trained to prescribe and dispense traditional 'raw' herbal formulas. Must be trained in the clean needle technique. Must be a member in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.

Registered Massage Therapist with experience treating pre-conception women, and pregnant women. Must be a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Infertility Treatments

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture have been used for more than 5000 years to treat issues of female and male fertility and reproductive health. Women are often physically and emotionally depleted and have constrained energy that causes blockages, particularly in the pelvis. These blockages may have presented as painful menstrual cramps, endometriosis, fibroid tumors, PMS symptoms, irregular cycles, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and so on.

Acupuncture has been part of healthcare for millions of people over thousands of years. More recently modern scientific standards have been applied to assessing the effectiveness of acupuncture. After considerable research, the Nation Institutes of Health (NIH) and The World Health Organization (WHO) agree acupuncture is an effective treatment for many illnesses.
